THE CORAL REEF NEEDS OUR HELP
IF WE DONT ACT NOW IT WILL BE GONE
CORAL BLEACHING
When sea temperatures climb or water quality declines, corals expel their vital symbiotic algae (zooxanthellae), causing them to turn stark white. While bleached corals remain alive, prolonged stress leaves them weakened, risking widespread reef decline.
SOME CORALS STILL RESIST
This is an example of a healthy coral, with all of its symbiotes still alive and showing its color.
the health of the ocean is critical
Even with some corals able to survive, many species around these stronger ones still die off and lose their color.
